Sorry, I've been busy parenting my 2 very active baby boys!!! This "berry" beautiful smoothie consists of the following: Makes 1 serving: 1c wild frozen blueberries 1.5c water .5c organic unfiltered apple juice 2-3 large handfuls of baby spinach or 2-3 kale leaves. 1 sliver of lemon ![]() Today's smoothie is all about this delicious and fragrant weed... MINT! It's just so beautiful, isn't it!? Makes 1 or 2 servings: 1.5 cups water .5 cup organic unfiltered apple juice slice lemon 1/2 cup or about 10 leaves of fresh basil 1/4 cup parsley (I used flat leaf italian because that is what we have growing right now... curly parsley is also very flavorful) 1/2 cup mint leaves - fresh from the garden! 1 green apple (skin removed because it was not organic) 1 cup green grapes 2 or 3 cups spinach 2 or 3 cups kale Look at that beautiful dark purple color! Oh how I love Spring... Is in the air!!! Today's smoothie consists of the following: Makes 1 serving or about 20oz 1-1.5c water 3 small celery stalks (with the leaves) 1 ripe and soft kiwi Slice of lemon 1c frozen wild blueberries 1c baby spinach 2c spring mix salad greens 4 drops of liquid stevia Blend and enjoy this dark purple smoothie! Smoothie and then a espresso... that is my daily regimen! Thanks to my hubby for the new mug, I have room for multiple shots of espresso :) This is BY FAR my favorite smoothie, my husband and kids also love it! What's not to love about peanut butter, banana and chocolate?!
Makes about 30oz 2c vanilla almond milk** (if using water, add in a dash of vanilla extract!) 2 heaping tablespoons of peanut or other nut butter 1 heaping tablespoon of raw cacao nibs 2 large handfuls of baby spinach 2 dandelion green leaves 2 large tuscan kale leaves **I do try to avoid using store bought almond milk because it is processed and has 'iffy' ingredients in it, but once in a while is ok. Anything in moderation, right!? Just keep eating (or drinking) your greens and it will help purify your system of any 'iffy' free radicals. This type of smoothie is always my GO TO for when I'm feeling bloated, nasty, sluggish and just need a good "detox"!!! The lemon and ginger are great detoxifiers. Just look at the pics and how gorgeous all of the GREEN colors are! Nothing but goodness :) Makes 1 or 2 servings:
1 or 2c water 1 big handful of curly parsley 1 big handful of fresh baby spinach 1 big handful of frozen spinach (I used this because I ran out of baby spinach) 2 celery stalks 1 green apple slice of lemon nub of fresh ginger (I store this peeled and in the freezer, so I simply cut off pieces whenever I'm ready to use it) 1 ripe kiwi (ripe when soft) 1 banana OR stevia to taste (optional for extra sweetness) ![]() Makes 22oz 1/4 cucumber (peeled) 1c flat leaf Italian parsley 1/4 or 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger 2 or 3 celery stalks 1c kale 1-2c baby spinach 1 to 1.5c organic unfiltered apple juice slice or 1/4 lemon Today's Sexy Ingredient: GINGER! Ginger is an awesome anti inflammatory ingredient to anything - tea, soups, stews and smoothies!
